Are Android Codes Similar to Windows and Mac?
« on: February 21, 2011, 05:06:14 AM »
Will the coming Android codes be similar to the codes that we are using on Windows and Mac?

Just a ask that's all. Will HyperNext maintain these codes or are they slightly be changed.

Thanks

Yes, most of the programming language (codes) is identical to that already used on Windows and Mac - this includes most keywords for controls such as buttons etc, and for next loops. maths strings etc. In fact HyperNext Android Creator can load projects from HyperNext Creator v3 although there are some extra keywords for Android that simply do nothing on Windows & Mac. There are differences with menus pop-ups,  lists etc as the Android User-Interface handles these differently.

It is possible to roughly run your Android program inside HyperNext Android Creator to see if the maths, strings, looping and logic etc work. For full testing though they must be run on the Android Emulator or an attached Android device.
